Overview
Cheese Trap is an Alliance event where Alliance leaders (R4/R5) can start the event and select one of two difficulties:
For example:
- Cheese Trap I
- Cheese Trap II
An alliance must have at least 20 members to place a Cheese Trap.
If the difficulty is not selected before 22:00 server time on the final day, the alliance will not be able to participate in the event.
After choosing the difficulty, the alliance must also set the event start time. It is recommended to schedule the event when most alliance members are online to maximize participation during the Extermination Phase.
Event Phases
1. Preparation Phase
During this phase, alliance members can donate Mouse Lure to the Cheese Trap.
Benefits of Donating Mouse Lure
Donations provide:
- Alliance Contribution Points
- Hero Damage Buffs for attacking Cheese Thieves during the Extermination Phase
Mouse Lure can be obtained from:
- Daily Quest Chest rewards
Once the alliance reaches the maximum Mouse Lure donation requirement, members can continue donating only for:
- Alliance Contribution Points
- No additional buffs are gained after the cap
| Cheese Trap Level | Buffs |
|---|---|
| Level 1 | Hero damage dealt +3% |
| Level 2 | Hero damage dealt +7% |
| Level 3 | Hero damage dealt +12% |
| Level 4 | Hero damage dealt +18% |
| Level 5 | Hero damage dealt +25% |
Important
Each event session requires:
- A newly placed Cheese Trap
- Fresh Mouse Lure donations
2. Extermination Phase
Once this phase begins:
- R4/R5 members must manually activate the Cheese Trap
- Only one trap can be activated at a time
- Cheese Trap I and II may both be placed
- But they cannot run simultaneously
Trap Duration
Each Cheese Trap remains active for:
- 30 minutes
During activation:
- Cheese Thieves are captured
- Alliance members attack them through rallies to deal damage
Offline Participation
Players who are offline can still participate automatically.
If:
- Offline Rally Join is enabled
- An active rally exists
Then the game automatically sends:
- The player’s highest might hero formation/squad
Important Event Tips
Rallies started by the R5, alliance officials, and R4 members receive damage buffs, so it is important for alliance members to join rallies led by R5/R4 instead of creating their own rallies.
Rally Damage Buffs
- R5 and alliance officials: +5% damage boost
- R4 members: +2.5% damage boost
These buffs are active during the Extermination Phase.
Enable Offline Joining
Make sure that both you and your alliance members have Offline Joining enabled. This allows members to automatically join active rallies even while offline, ensuring maximum rally participation and damage output.
Maximizing Personal Rewards
Once the alliance reward milestones have been reached, members may still want to continue pushing for personal damage rewards.
To help with this:
- R4 and R5 members can initiate rallies using only one hero, preferably the hero with the lowest CMD.
- This allows alliance members to continue benefiting from the rally leader’s damage bonus while minimizing troop usage from the rally leader.
Coordinating Cheese Trap I & II
If your alliance participates in Cheese Trap I, those participants cannot participate in Cheese Trap II. This restriction also applies to R5 and R4 members.
Because of this:
- Coordinate in advance with your R4s and alliance members.
- Decide who will participate in Cheese Trap I and who will save participation for Cheese Trap II.
Difficulty Scaling
As lower difficulties are completed, higher difficulties unlock. These become increasingly harder because the required damage to defeat the Cheese Trap also increases.
Optimizing rallies during the 30-minute event window becomes extremely important.
Reducing Rally Travel Time
To maximize efficiency:
- Place the Cheese Trap close to the alliance assembly point to reduce march times.
- During the preparation phase, keep the Cheese Trap slightly away from the assembly point.
- About 5 minutes before the event begins:
- Move the alliance assembly marker near the Cheese Trap.
- Have rally leaders and participating members teleport close to the Cheese Trap.
This minimizes travel time and allows rallies to cycle much faster.
Continuous Rally Cycling
R5/R4 members should begin rallies immediately once the Cheese Thieves are caught.
For optimal rally rotation:
- Start the first rally immediately.
- While the first lineup is marching, prepare the second lineup.
- As soon as the second lineup begins marching, immediately recall and queue the first lineup again.
This minimizes downtime between marches and keeps rallies running continuously for maximum damage output.
